From becoming the Valuation Office’s preferred testing partner during the transition from DVD media to downloadable datasets in 2001, to developing advanced Business Rate Relief Fraud detection systems for Local Authorities, Andy has been at the forefront of non-domestic rating data for over two and a half decades. His unparalleled knowledge of the data and the Valuation Office’s working practices ensures that Helix Dynamic delivers the highest quality data with unmatched speed and accuracy, minimizing downtime and errors. The successful sale of his original Business Rates software company in 2012 further equipped Andy with the financial acumen and insight needed to build a sustainable and successful company. Starting as a lead programmer for Davis Langdon and Everest, the world’s largest firm of quantity surveyors, fresh out of college, Andy’s career evolved from owning his first computer-building business in the 1990s to holding senior roles at Pearson PLC and McGraw Hill International. At Pearson PLC, he served as the lead advisor and senior account manager for Europe’s largest flexible learning center at Standard Life in Edinburgh. Later, as a senior account manager at the Financial Times Corporate Development division, Andy gained valuable experience before founding the Rating Software Company later rebranded to Inform CPI. His unique blend of experience in both large blue-chip corporations and entrepreneurial ventures enables Helix Dynamic to combine the best features of both worlds, offering a successful subscription-based business model that thrives in today’s ever-changing business landscape.
